If you're a book lover, this place is a must. It's a literal treasure trove. Though it doesn't look big enough from the outside, it's home to over 60,000 used books. They line the walls, top to bottom, left to right. Despite books being jammed in nearly every corner, they are actually fairly well organized. Though you may have a hard time locating a specific book if you went in there looking for it, it's still a real treat to walk the halls, and just see what there is. I came away with several gems that I would never in a hundred years think to even look for in the first place. The prices are moderate, but I have no problem spending my money in a legitimate local business, especially one that is akin to taking a trip on a time machine to the old world.
I love having this treasure in my backyard. If you like used and old books, you'll love this place. Well organized. Helpful staff. Packed to the gills.

North wood is a perfect used book store: it has aisles and mazes and shelves of books, books, books. There are lines on the floor to get you to your desired section, which is a great idea since there is much territory to navigate. Prices are reasonable and no one will bother you as you browse. A perfect stop for bibliophiles.
I have noted that two reviews gave low marks due to clutter and piles of books on the floor. I can appreciate that this may irritate some people. To me, FAR AND AWAY the most important factor is the range and quality of books offered for sale. After certain UK bookshops and a couple of bookshops in Melbourne Australia I would rate this as the best second hand bookshop I have ever visited based on range quality price.....
